Good luck to any of you all bidding on Sports-Vault (425) items... hope you can outbid J***A (13) and Y***T (private).... but if you dont, you might get a second chance offer, like the third bidder on the Ty Cobb Maple Crispette. There's always different ways to protect your investment, again, nothing illegal.... just so obvious. ;) John V

It appears they sold the same cards in Jan (Completed Listings - 1/9/12). Maybe the winner has already consigned them back.

I talked to the guy and he said they wanted too long to pay, a bunch of bs. It is pretty funny that someone signed up today and mysteriously is the high bidder and only has 100% of his bids with the seller.

Seems like the Nichols is worth 2500. Are you saying they are bidding on their own to ensure nothing goes too low?

Did anyone noticed that the new member's bid is no longer valid? Maybe they retracted it once they saw everyone writing about it.

They said on the bay page bid was cancelled because bidder had no feedback

That's interesting. I have never noticed when a bid is cancelled that it shows was the max was. $2001 in this instance.

Check out where either of these eBay ifs have showed up on closed auctions or their other current ones. Just put a reserve my friend

The y****t private feedback bidder was the high bidder on the E253 Cobb the first time the seller sold it in November, and was the high bidder on the N300 Nichols last month. Interesting....

HILARIOUS !! There goes Y***T (10). With a bid on Nichols !! Guess somebody is having to press the bids. Getting Nervous. Wonder if he's gonna win his card two times in a row. Oh the painnnnn if that card sold less than the first time. This is a joke

He's using two ebay id's to drive the price up through the auction.. First time the Nichols 'SOLD' to himself for $2900.... he bid with one id for $1,000, then the 2nd id for 2,500, and then the first i.d. again for 2,900.... he hung up one bidder in between at $2850.... the guy probably didn't bite on his 'second chance offer'..... quite a good routine I'd say he's got going.

This is as good as the Grammys. Call me a guy with a crystal ball based on my initial post comment earlier in the night.......... when I see shill bidding like this, which is what it APPPEARRSS to be... it makes me sick.

It seems to be the same "0" Feedback bidder than they cancelled the bid from earlier. He's persistent, must really want the card!
