You can usually look at the histories of the major auction houses, which are free (you just may need to register an account w/ them).

Here's a GAI 2 (which looks overgraded) from 2009 for ~$9500: Link (http://www.legendaryauctions.com/LotDetail.aspx?lotid=103604)

Here's a trimmed Lajoie (Authentic) as part of a complete 1933 Goudey set for ~$5300: Link (http://mar10.hugginsandscott.com/cgi-bin/showitem.pl?itemid=19514)

Hi,

The lower graded Lajoie's are significantly more difficult to find than the higher graded examples. Plus there is high demand for the lower graded examples due to collectors wanting to complete their sets and not have to lay out $20K or $30K, or more, for a mid grade card. I finished collecting the set several years ago, so have not kept track of the prices for the Lajoie, but I would imagine that in the $10K-$13K range you should be able to pick a PSA 2.

Here is a pic of the one I picked up back in 2006!
