At the risk of sounding like an idiot, could someone please define "gentlemen's cards" or "gentlemen's sets"? I see the examples above, but would like to see a formal definition.

I am assuming the OP meant any set that is actually named for/after a man, i.e., William Patterson, George Miller, Walter Mails, Al Demaree, ........

Also, a lot of people don't realize that they actually made (2) different sets of Walter Mails cards and some of the cards show some variation (I've touched on it before in some threads a few years back)...

If anyone collects Curtis Ireland related material we will have a lot of three items pertaining to the company and distribution of their candy products. One is an original letter signed by Ireland as well. Also a HOF on the issue as well.
