Not sure, but it could be PSA HOF Steve Soloway's Wagner. He consigned all of his cards to Memory Lane recently.

The 800lb gorilla in the room would sarcastically note that PSA was a bit generous with the grade. Don't you think?

Lovely Day...

Absolutely! That card won't cross to a SGC 30.

Soloway definitely owned that Wagner at one point (and maybe still does).

Cheers,

I noticed that Memory Lane is also auctioning off a bunch of the high-grade T206's from the recent Legendary auction. I guess one speculator ended up with quite a few of them.

this will never sell, nor is it intended to be sold via Ebay...

in this case Ebay is the Bergdorf Goodman Display case...

if sold, this card will be brokered OFF EBAY for sure...

I like how the description starts out saying "no description is required" before launching into a flowery, dozen-sentence narrative.

The $100 Ebay Bucks for spending 3/4 of a million is a real value driver for me :D

It seems they have always employed a different scale for this card, no?

The mark-up on their other cards is about 75% - I wonder if they are looking to move this for around $400K?

I find it funny that this is the first sentence in the description:

"HOLY GRAIL!!!...This is one of the very few collectibles on earth for which no explanatory description is required."

Proving that point, they did not then add the following::rolleyes:
The mere sight of a T206 Wagner is sufficient to provoke an unbelievably pleasant sensation, unique to each individual. Wagner's legend is well-traveled, particularly as it relates to this small but majestic printed piece with the distinctive orange background, but the specifics of each T206 Wagner's singular journey remain bountifully intriguing. We recognize the likeness of the Dutchman at once, but related questions immediately ensue. "Where has this card been? What has it seen?" Those wonderings are compelling in each Wagner card's own instance. They only add even more fuel to the magnetic wish to possess it, and, in so doing, to contribute to the card's personal time-line's path. Here is the item that has inspired the industry from its earliest days, and the artifact which continues to be the ultimate goal for every enthusiast. Honus Wagner's presence elevates any collection like no other force on the planet. This special card, with its signs of natural circulation displayed proudly and its superb eye appeal left undiminished, represents the cherished prize for any collector. Offered in an eye appealing PSA 2 Good holder, this incredible card is the most important sports collectible in the world.
