I'm collecting vintage Phillies and A's and was wondering if there is a book of some sort that breaks sets down by teams. I've been using this other site (not sure I can say the name) as a guide but have seen more than a few mistakes on there. For example, cards listed that don't belong with that particular team set or cards that are not listed that should be there. I would also be looking for the book to list the oddball sets as well. There are so many cool issues out there that I probably don't even know about. I'm somewhat new to the vintage world so I'm learning as I go. Any help is appreciated.

I have one of the old Sport Americana Team checklist books, but the vintage (and modern for that matter) is limited to main stream sets like Goudey, Diamond Stars, Play Ball and the T 205-6 if I remember correctly.

There is a great book that shows pictures of many vintage card sets, like the giant Topps book. It is an amazing pictorial reference, but may not have too much in the way of real oddball stuff.

I would suggest my site but it might be the site that you found that was full of errors. I have a number of sets broken down my tea.

WWW.TEAMSETS4U.COM (http://www.teamsets4u.com/checklist.html)

I have tried to the best of my ability to seperate the cards but information on a number of cards is hard to come by if you, or any one else, can verify any of my information as inaccurate I will gladly make changes. Especially to the vintage cards that I do not possess.

Also I have a number of the regional or team issues listed at

A's (http://www.teamsets4u.com/teamchecklist/as.html)

Phillies (http://www.teamsets4u.com/teamchecklist/phillies.html)
