I just picked up this card and did a bit of research and realized there are two different types of old mill backs. This is my first old mill of either version so I was very happy to pick up with Marquard on the front. How rare is this or is it the other version that is rare?

Old Mill BBS and Old Mill south are both found frequently and are not rare at all. The Old Mill you have is easier to get an example of simply because it is printed with many more subjects than the Old Mill south which can only be found with 48 southern league subjects.

The Old Mill BBS back isnt as common as Sweet Cap, piedmont, or polar bear backs though, right?

King - Click Here (http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=143514) for a list of backs ranked by scarcity in post #5. I think that will help answer your question. If not let us know.

I think finding a 3 that is that nice would be harder to find than a lot of backs...nice.
