I heard this morning on the MLB network that there will be no team signed items from the World Champion Cardinals because Pujols wanted too much money. Kevin Millar explained that there are usually about a thousand pieces that the team is asked to sign and the different "tiers" of players get different fees, but that Pujols wanted so much more than the usual "upper tier" fee, that the cost to the fans would be cost prohibitive. If that is really true, then how much money is enough for this guy? I hope he signs somewhere this off season where they won't kiss his butt if he gets off to a slow start.

I don't care what anybody says. I have always thought Pujols is a dink.

Not a fan, either... and not surprised by this.

This is the type reason I can't name 10 major league players today, nor do I care to learn that many.

I think HGH . I don't believe anyone is above reproach anymore. The only names we have heard outed were the guys who broke records. No one talks about the guys who used illegal substance and flew below the radar...

No doubt. I think MLB turned a blind eye for a long time to "save the game"/make millions.

He probably looked at what Jeter was getting for signing 3,000 stuff and said "i'm better than Jeter". Before hearing this I kinda thought he was a shoe-in to stay in St Louis, but now I won't be surprised if he goes for the highest contract offer.
