As many of you know, I am a gridiron nut... Please share your favorite card/piece of memorabilia in your collection, or a piece you used to own. Here's mine...

Great thread Chris. If I absolutely had to pick one:

John,
Is that some sort of paper restaurant placemat? Very cool.

Here's mine. I didn't think I'd ever own this piece. I picked it up about six months ago. 1964 Yuban Coffee Canvas Lithograph. I had it framed locally.

It's actually a postcard...someone trimmed the blank corners along time ago.

Not the most valuable piece in the world, but special to me. 1907 postcard of my alma mater/employer:

Not super vintage but still my favorite football piece. Bo Jackson game ball from the Monday Night game where he ran over Bosworth.

My favorite isn't unusual at all, it's just sentimental. 1970 Topps cards were among the first I collected, and I loved the Super Glossy inserts. I still do. I was a huge Raiders fan as a kid, so I'll pick Fred Biletnikoff as my favorite individual card.

Where did you get that?

Where did you get that?

I picked it up at my local card shop. I knew it was a game ball when I got it but didn't know it was from that game until I researched it. Needless to say I was very happy with what I found out.

I don't have a huge football collection, but I have done a couple '55 Topps All-American sets and I collect some oddball pennants and such. One thing I do focus on is material related to former Purdue Boilermaker players.

This painting of Len Dawson was done by Freeda Thorpe, the former wife of Jim Thorpe, when she was in her late 80s or early 90s. It's not on my "Purdue wall" yet, as I am remodeling, but I'm excited to eventually have it re-framed and put it up, surrounded by some of my other vintage Purdue material.

BTW - Steve - I love the Meredith Yuban litho - great piece!

---one Modern, one vintage:

The Lansford is part of my set and the Payton I sold a while back. I must admit, when I look at my scan of Walter I wish I had it back---it IS a beauty!

NOTE: I sold the Payton to Dimitri Young, who no doubt intended to try & cross it in hopes of a PSA 10. I do not know if he did.
