The recap for tonight's new episode of Auction Kings says:
"A vintage fortune telling scale; taxidermy animals; an impressive collection of baseball cards."
Not sure if the cards will be vintage though.

I think I remember that one. If so, the best card is a '52 Bowman Mays.
The taxidermy animals were pretty cool. If I remember right, one was some type of goat from Mexico that was worth a lot of money.

What channel and time? Is this the one where the dude wears really tight soccer jerseys and his helper is a "hard on the eyes" redneck blonde?

It's on Discovery Channel at 9:00 here on the west coast.
I think this is a new episode, but it only includes 50's to 60's cards, see link to "preview" below

They sold a Ty Cobb Tobacco tin in an earlier episode..I think it brought $5,500.

Nevermind my earlier post. I had it confused with an episode of Auction Hunters. Too many reality shows to keep up with.

Not if you wear beer goggles.

One of my friends saw this episode. He has no idea about vintage collecting, and when he saw the episode he simply said "it's a hobby filled with people that have too much money".
Thought it was pretty funny to hear an outside point of view.

I think there was a '56 Topps Mantle and '53 Topps Paige in the bunch. Don't know much about the others. I laughed about the "hard on the eyes" comment.

Howard's assessment of the collection was interesting to say the least...not what I think of when I think "expert appraisal.". Yikes...

Yikes indeed. He said the '53 Topps Paige was his rookie. Where do they get these so-called experts for these auction/pawn shows?

My wife said, "Those are not rookie cards!" I LOVE THAT WOMAN!

The "expert" said 53 Topps Paige goes for about $600 in mint condition (try $10,000+) and then grades it with paper loss a 6.
