View Full Version : What do you guys think of this signed ball?

A friend of mine here in town sent me some pics and asked me if I thought the ball was legit...he bought it years ago at an auction...he talked to the guy who sold it and that guy said he got signed in person as a kid at the All Star Game...pics are a bit blurry..I might have to go over to his house and snap some myself...he wants to list it on ebay, but he always comes to me with baseball memorabilia before he lists it.

edited to add: I just looked up the names that I can see and looks like it's from the 1936 AS Game.

My opinion, for what it's worth, is that it's not legit. The Dean looks like it was signed on his deathbed and not a vintage 1930's sig. Hubbell looks closer to when he had a stroke (but still not good) then his sig of the 30's, and Ott doesn't look close. Just my opinion.

Agree with Mike Completely... the big 3 on the ball (Dean, Hubbell, and Ott) all look way off..
