It is in poor condition but looks real to me. But what do I know?

I can't tell if its real, but if it is, Id expect someone to call and offer a bunch of money. Bidder gets suspicious and pulls it. So, any of you bargain hounds, FORGET IT:)

Looks real to me, but there is some risk for prospective bidders.

I've no clue if it's real or not. And anything is possible. But the "in an old photo album found at an estate sale" blurb sure gives me the creeps.

I guess someone made them a good offer. They just canceled my bid and ended the auction. I guess that's ebay for ya.....

If it is real, what would something like that go for in a big auction?

My guess, in a good auction setting, 6500-12k.......but that is just a guess based on what I have seen before....

Barry- You stole the words out of my mouth. Exactly what I was thinking.

My wife like going to estate sales, garage sales ect. and I never go with here because I think it's 99% crap. Looks like I might have a new hobby on the weekends now.

I'm curious what would have happened on ebay if the auction had been left up.

Bad move by the seller to remove it.

My guess is that it will be offered again in a major auction catalog in the months to come.

Agreed! The Auction Houses fall all over themselves trying to get items like this that are periodically listed on ebay into their auctions.

I'm not sure it was even a legit piece. The damage to the left side was significant, but shouldn't we have seen a separation of the photo from the mount? I was thinking the photo might have "peeled" a bit from the mount. That's just my thoughts. I'm by no means an expert.

Hello,

I have not sold the item. I will be selling it via an auction house but have not decided which one. I am researching my options now. I did not know what I had when i posted the auction and i want to get it to the most audience.

Thank you,

Cedarslats

Is it common for old pieces like this to have Cincinnati spelled with two t's?

This one, auctioned by REA in 2010, also has two T's:

Im late to see this :)

the card looks good to me, especially with the vintage age damage that is not easy to duplicate.

Im no expert but there sure is a lot of different variations of this card.... I see its the same type as the REA Dec 2010 one.

looking at the other types they also spelled "Cincinnatti" on the back in an ad.
