I just got this on ebay. It may be removed from a reach guide but it is a one hundred year old Louisville photo with Dummy Hoy! Since I am from Kentucky I just could not pass this up. This team in many ways is painful to look at because Barney Dreyfus spent most of the 1890's building this team and they were just a year or two away from league dominance. There is just one problem, they were playing near the three rivers by that point. Ah what could have been!

Not to mention 19th Century images of Wagner, Waddell & Clarke in there as well. Great pick-up!

I know there is a photo of the 1895 or 97 Lincoln team in one of the old Reach guides I'd like to get my hands on. I think I've collected most of the early Lincoln photos out of all those guides.....some people hate that seller cut those guides up and I would hope they aren't cutting up intact guides, but I see so many of them with missing covers, and people used to tear out the baseball rulebook from the back too..that's the ones I hope they're cutting up.

According to the ebay seller that sells a lot of these photos, he takes them from damaged guides. I do not know what is definition of damaged is however.
