View Full Version : Rawlings Sample(?) Glove Question

I recently picked up, at a local auction, a Rawlings "Gold Glove Series" Pro-701BF glove. The odd thing about this glove is that it's so small it won't even fit on my two-year-old daughter's hand. It looks like a scaled down version of a regular glove. My first thought was that it may be a sample, but aren't most sample gloves standard size? Then I thought maybe I bought a small child's glove, but like I say, it won't fit on my tiny baby's hand so that's unlikely.

I haven't taken any pictures yet, but if anyone knows any information on what this may be I'll gladly post a few pictures.

Thanks for any assistance!

It's not a sales sample. Rawlings made mini versions of some of their more popular models available for retail sale. It would have originally come packaged with a mini Rawlings glove stand and possibly a baseball card if the glove is endorsed.

the mini glove makes for a nice piece to get autographed. I believe that was their main selling point.

I used to use the mini gloves as autographed ball holders

Thanks everyone for the information! It looks like I guessed wrong on it's obscurity.
