What was this Worth

So this just sold at auction. What do you guys think it was worth? I only bidded cause I was thinking that the Mcgraw auto was real, but the babe Ruth was far from being the real deal. . Went for $2,300, which I think is on the high side.

That's about right for this McGraw autographed photo. McGraw signed items like this are scarce, and this is a nice clear signature. So many of his autos are compromised in some fashion. The fake Ruth on this one would always bug me though, so this particular one is not my cup of tea.

It all comes down to personal preference, but I am pretty sure this would have exceeded $3K if not for the Ruth. I know that factor kept the price down, but probably didn't bug the winning bidder too much. Perhaps he'll somehow mat it out...

Also the $2,300 was minus state tax and buyers premium, so add another %30 percent, so thats around $690 more.

McGraw is rare on a photo and the Ruth can easily be matted out.
Considering the buyer paid $3K with the add ons, that seems right.
