Stephen Colbert had a T206 Bill Bergen Brooklyn Dodger card up as an image for a MLB segment b/c Craig Counsell is about to tie his hit-less streak of 46 ABs. Anyone else know when pre-war stuff has popped up in pop culture? The only other one I can think of off the cuff of course all the players in Field of Dreams...

Years ago there was an episode of "The Young Indiana Jones" which if you remember it, would alternate story lines featuring a 18-21 year old Indy and a 9-11 year old Indy. In one of the stories that featured the 9-11 year old version he had a cherished T-206 Ty Cobb w/bat pose.

Also, in the movie "Blast from the Past" w/ Brendan Fraiser where is he rejoins society after spending 30 years in a fallout shelter. He was going to get money for supplies by selling his Dads baseball card collection, but I think most of the collection was post-war.

I believe so-and Jean Shepherd once wrote a piece about his old Goudey Indian Gum cards. I would think in ACS they would have belonged to his old man and been passed down as the story is set in 1939.
