I am new to the collecting of memorabilia but have been a long time card collector. Anyway i was on vacation last week in northern Wisconsin and came across an old bat that i decided to buy at a little old market with no other sports stuff. I bought it just for display purposes because i liked the look of it but i would like to get all information from those much more knowledgeable than me.

I have done a bunch of searches on the net and haven't come across anything that looks like it or much info at all on Indiana Bat Company, Paoli, Indiana. The wood is starting to degrade on the the side opposite the logo and appears very old. I saw some bats from Indiana Bat Co on the net that are from the 1920's or 1930's. To me, this looks older than those i see on the net but maybe it just wasn't cared for as well. The barrel is stamped/burned "Natl. League" in script. The logo is within the state of Indiana and reads "Indiana Bat Co, NATL LEAGUE, PAOLI, IND". It is a very dark wood which is why i really liked it. I haven't come across many real old dark wood bats. It is 35 inches long and pretty heavy compared to the modern bats. If i had a way to weigh it i would give you that too. There are no markings on either end of the bat (or anywhere else on the bat). I gave $35 for it.

Any info that can be provided or any links that could be helpful is very much appreciated.

I have two Indiana Bat Co bats...that's the first "National League" model I've seen though...they are great looking bats, but there is not a lot of demand for them. $35 is probably about right.

Now if you came across one of the company's bat racks! That would be a great find
