Probably one of the other brands underneath. If they ran low because Ideal was selling well and another brand wasn't it would have been easy to have some strips printed up to glue on. I've seen a few things repurposed this way, the items themselves were fairly expensive, and labor to convert them was cheap.

The back shown on the NS side also has Ideal on an added strip.

Cards used for things other than originally intended isn't too uncommon... Old Put- E98's, many W575-1 cards w/different ad backs, W573 and many others. Some were "re-purposed" and others, it seems, are made generically allowing different stamps and ads to be added to the backs. Here is one from the D382 series that was re-purposed with a sticker on the back and a few others with stamps/lettering on blank backs....

Ive seen a couple of the added overprints before but never owned one.
cards are found with many types of back...
Cockade, Gay Head, Helmet, Ideal, Pluck, Little Rhody, M.T. Coffey, and a schedule back

I only have one N360, but I've picked up images of several of the backs. Note that the Little Rhody is an N557.
