Again, only been involved in this hobby since January - and want to know if there is a premium for this type of card.

It's an Al Bridwell T206, but notice the messed up "Bridwell".

Looks like B 4-square dw ell

I wouldn't personally ascribe any extra value to that kind of variation or printing mishap. Some might but I would think it would be very little.

:D:D

You have a little gem....not the big "Noddy" because of it's recognition....this isn't a "huge" error, but nonetheless a rare variation unto it's self....that particuliar sheet must have had the caption print font skip for some reason causing the "double struck r effect" ....there are a few different players, bridwell and anderson i have and have seen....

$50.00 card.....neat error that you should hold onto .....not going to make you rich, but a change in the mundane......;)

double struck "A" in andy....
Peace

very neat, especially as the two Bridwells both have the light red printed slightly to the right.

Anderson can't be from the same sheet. Anderson is a 350 while Bridwell is a 350-460 series.

I don't see these as printing mistakes. Unless they were making single prints directly from the plate that sort of misprint would be unique. To have two of them so identical tells me it's a difference on the plate. Possibly from one position on the stone being done out of place and later redone.

I'll consider them variations, a distinction I make a bit more readily than most. I generally don't think most minor variations should be worth more either, so I suppose the end result is the same.

Btw, my response was just my opinion. I have been known to pay stuuuuupid high prices for freakish stuff (T206 multi-strike etc...). If someone were to pay a premium for one like this I wouldn't think it too odd....

Well, as of right now - every opinion ya'll have is worth more than my factual knowledge regarding T206s. I know a boatload more than I did in January, but still only a fraction of what you guys know. I really appreciate the help.

Does anyone else have one of these? I picked this one up a couple
of years ago and along with the other two in this thread they're
the only three I've seen or could find scans of in the past ten years.

Hey Johnny. The one you owned was one of the three I counted.

Do you remember this Jones that Jerry had, I don't know if he still has it
but it's the coolest double struck caption that I've seen.
