Hadn't seen this until today. Dick Williams, HOF manager passed away last Thursday. Got a chance to see him at a show earlier this year along with Gary Carter. He was very pleasant and eager to talk to the fans. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Seems like we've lost quite a few HOF'ers over the last several months.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Williams family, friends and fans. He provided so much great BB during my youth.

Thanks for the memories and shaping and molding that 67 team. That team made this 7 year old at the time, a fan for life.

Dick Williams was at the Toronto Expo just a couple of months ago.

He seemed to be a man at peace with himself, after a somewhat turbulent career. His book "No More Mr. Nice Guy" details the ups and downs of his career, and is one of the more open and honest autobiographies in baseball.

In Toronto, I mentioned to him that his Hall of Fame ring looked good. He said "Feel's good, too".

He gave the distinct impression that to be a Hall of Fame member was a real honour for him, which of course it is.
