Check this out.... It's unbelievable what some people will do to make a buck...

Check out the following Diamond Stars Grove card from Clean Sweep Auctions: Graded SGC 2 (Good)....

http://www.csauctions.com/item.cgi?show_item=0000316428

Now check out the eBay auction below. Although the card is still shown in a holder, it now grades Ex to Ex+ with no imperfections.... That is, no imperfections except for the paper loss on the back.... He doesn't even mention that the card has been graded SGC 2 (or was graded SGC 2 before he frees it from the slab to send to the buyer)....

You can even tell it's still in a slab in the ebay auction picture. There are better ways to make a buck. He got a decent buy on a nice card, why not just be truthful about it?

Kevino35 is famous for pulling this kind of maneuver. Usually he removes the card from the slab and then doctors it while hiding his manipulations in a long description so he can get around a SNAD complaint. I never bid on this guys garbage even though he often has stuff I wouldn't mind having. It's just too tainted. In his defense though, I once called him out on a card doctoring job he had done and he removed the listing and I've never seen it return.

Agree. He did get a good price in the Clean Sweep auction. I stayed away because of the centering. Can't remember if I have ever purchased from this seller. Good detective work Brad.

I like his 34 Dean that has round as can be corners getting a EX grade. How about these beauties:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-11-T206-PIEDMONT-RED-KLEINOW-N-Y-AMERICANS-EX-NM-/370522151714?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item5644d75b22#ht_607wt_1130

EX+/NM??? At Least Pro or Gem grading will trim the cards before giving them laugh out loud grades.

Totally agree - I have seen him in action at some local Boston-area auctions, and usually chuckle at some of the odd purchases, then seeing them re-appear soon on the Bay, in much better condition (at least in his description) than in the initial auction.

How does he possibly have 10,500 + feedbacks with 100% positive? So much for that system providing any real way of establishing credibility...

I senrt him the following question: "It appears that this card is in agraded case. Is it and what is the grade of the card since there is no mention of it in the auction. Drew".
We will see if he responds.

He responded to me. I posed the same question as well. He states that the card IS NOT graded. So I guess that settles that! Case closed!

I tried to neg him, he never sent me a card and when I opened a case with paypal he sent a bogus tracking number. When I pointed it out to paypal they cancelled the transaction and refunded me, so I didn't have a chance to neg him.
Googling him for back articles in The Sun Chronicle will reveal more info.

I will also send the "holder" question and see if he responds.

I don't know why you guys are toying with him on the holder issue. Either 1 of 2 things happened.

1.) He bought the card and cracked (or will crack) it out of the holder for the buyer.

2.) He stole the scan for his own listing.

Either way is unscrupulous.

If you want to know the truth, just call him out on it. Don't toy with him about the holder.

What's not being mentioned is the imbecile factor of potential buyers. If they can't see by looking, that those cards aren't ex or ex plus and "crease free" etc, they are just as bad.

Slimy as this guy is, the idiot buyers (as in fake autos) are often just as guilty of not having the intelligence of an Amoeba

I just asked him if the card was removed from an SGC 30 holder (referencing the CSA link) and his response was "no it was not."
