So what's hot right now from your own observations?

Seems a lot more are getting into getting members of the HOF.

I've seen it drive up prices on:
Negro League Cards
Game Cards (Fan Craze, National Game, Polo Grounds etc)- used to be a fun & Cheap alternative to find players in their playing days with photos, but the secret is out!
Stan Coveleskie- So few cards and the prices keep going higher! (Happy to say I finally got mine last night after 2+ years of frustrating bidding!)

Some E98s on ebay a couple weeks ago had healthy prices for being such low grade. And 1914 CJs are certainly holding their own.

Good call Tim, Negro League stuff is on fire.

Some postcards for sure Leon, overall still hit or miss though. Rose Co. pc's are definitely hot for example. PCL pc's also hot.

With the current state of the economy, a lot of collectors are still reluctant to give up the hobby, despite not being financially capable to collect as much as they once did, so they are resorting to lower grades for now.

So, I'd go as far as saying that low-grade and beaters are picking up steam in the hobby, because it's all some people can afford, or at the very least, all they are willing to spend right now. Personally, I've always loved the beaters anyway.

My vote too, is Mila Kunis

Or the e103's in Goodwin's last auction. THEY were on fire.

I think we may have better luck with a "what's not hot". I could have a list full of things to say.

Vintage photos and artwork from publications. With all of the archive liquidations over the last few years this would seem to be a good time to collec them.

I started my 1915 cj set 14 months ago and have noticed that prices overall have seem to have risen. I still cant beleive the ebay auction a couple months ago on ebay for a nice psa 1 cobb found in a car owner manual that go no bids when it started at $2300 and then was restarted the next week at 0.99c and got over $2500...I wish I had the $2300 the first time.....

My beloved T205's have seemed to have lit up and took off. Seems to be quite a few newbies to the collecting that has created a surge in prices.

1934 H-Unc (general catch-all for advertising that I use) Adam Hats Premiums. I had always seen them in the SCD and thought they were neat. I have shown them a few times...I didn't mean for it to be unsettling.....

postcards are hot...

Postcards are EMERGING, IMHO--they haven't been listed in the Standard Catalog that long, and there's some really neat ones out there. Nice Lajoie, Jeff.

More evidence that postcards are hot...

I really like the image on this one, but $2650 seems like a really strong price, imo. Congrats to whomever landed it!
