Asking for help on this again. Do you know who any of these players are? Thanks.

Looks like Honus Wagner on the right... But you should not rely on my opinion alone... Wait for someone to confirm.....

Without doubt Honus on the right. I can't place the others.

I had Honus and "Butts". And at one time had 2 of the other 3 placed, but lost my notes. Photo is from a RPPC, dated 1898 in pencil on the back. I think that's a little early, but a Louisville Colonels team photo from that period may help identify the others. Photo is probably from Wagner Bros. pool hall.

Very cool, do you have a scan of the back?

The photo may be from 1898, but the postcard isn't. Real photo postcards did not appear until 1902...got a scan of the reverse?

For those who aren't aware of this site, here's a link that I've found helpful when trying to date real-photo postcards by the stamp boxes:

It was made pre-1910. I'm guessing since Mark hasn't chimed in again that the other guys in the photo are not ball players.

Before 1907 all writing on PC's had to be on the front. The back was reserved for the address only. I guess this card would be 1902-1907 then.

It's not that clear, but Butts looks kind of old (born 1871) - so I don't think it's 1898. I don't recognize any of the others as balplayers offhand - but that doesn't mean they are not.

Not necessarily...real photo postcards usually didn't have divided backs..could still be up to 1910, but I don't think it is..probably around 1905.
This photo has been talked about before, I knew right away that Ive seen this picture before.

Thanks for finding the old post. Pretty sure the top right is Phillippe.
