Wow, imagine that.
Picked this up back in '01 when I was just getting into collecting vintage, and eBay was in its heyday. I knew nothing about the issue, just pulled it up in a search for Speaker cards. The color, the pose, and the simple beauty of the card grabbed my attention. My only T216, and my favorite card of Tris Speaker (the E90-1 Speaker is a pretty nice card, too, but I haven't found one yet ;) ).

Here is a type two(factory 4) Bresnahan......I know the type 3(Kotton Cigarettes never go out no factroy number) are described as being rarer but I have fewer Factory 4 than the other two types. Anybody else feel the same way??

I tend to agree with you that the Factory 4 version of the KOTTON backs appears to be somewhat less available than the other two back versions.
Perhaps, the No Factory version (Type 3) has been considered "rarer" because these KOTTON cards were printed on thinner stock.
And of course, the Factory 11 (Type 1) and Factory 4 (Type 1) cards were printed on thicker stock and have glossy fronts.
Anyhow, that's my take on these 3 back variations.
TED Z
Only recently have some of the thinner series come out in more quantities. I have been watching these for my whole 15 yrs of collecting as an adult. My observation is that the paper thin ones are quite a bit scarcer than the other two varieties. The Factory 4's are in fact the most commonly seen followed by the Factory 11. My thought is that it does in fact have to do with the very thin stock they (Kotton-Never Go Out) are printed on. That's just my (quite studied) observation. Of course others could have observed things differently. I think it took me 3-4 yrs to find my first thin stock one. For my own record I classify them from easiest to more difficult as type 1 (Fact. 4), type 2 (Fact.11) and type 3 (Never Go Out)....best regards

Hi Mike,
Very nice! My favorite Bender pose. I don't have that T216, but I have the same pose on Dockman, Croft's Cocoa, and E106.
Cheers,

For anyone looking for Kottons, there are 48 of them in the current Goodwin auction - each is an individual lot. I am curious as to what kind of prices they will bring, inasmuch as the market is being flooded, so to speak.
