For sale is an Anahuac model bat from the mid 1980s. Because it was used by a minor-leaguer, I'm going to assume it's a professional-model bat, but I'm no bat expert, nor was I able to research much about Anahuac bats. As you can see in the photos, all of the labeling is in Spanish.

In 1986 when I played for the Stockton Ports, the Brewers' team in the Class A California League, we signed a player named Oscar Duran out of the Mexican League. This was one of the bats he brought with him. When he cracked it, because I never had seen one like it, I asked him if I could have it. I came across it this weekend while going through some things.

The bat measures 34.5 inches in length and has a slight crack near the handle. The number "45" is stamped on the knob (see photo). Oscar wrote "O. Duran" in black marker near the end of the bat (see photo). He also slightly shaved the handle, although it's more noticeable when holding the bat than when looking at it.

If you'd like more photos or have questions, feel free to PM or e-mail me. $40 plus exact shipping.

Thanks,

Rob

Also available - early 1930s wooden Al Simmons cigar box. This is truly one of the better examples I have ever seen of this box. There are very few flaws on the box (and all of the flaws are just general wear as can be seen in the photo), the lid is completely attached, and all of the labels are intact (although as can be seen, there is some paperloss on the bottom part of the inner label - I believe it did say "Al Simmons" there), including a beautiful inner label. Plus, this is the much rarer wooden (not cardboard) version... and it is the earlier wooden version. Mastro's is the only other one I have ever seen that is in better condition, but that his sold for over $500 (and was the later wooden version). Asking $330 shipped for this one.

Sorry, NFS. Placed in wrong "May" thread. Unless I miraculously locate another, this one is going into the coffin!

What an awesome postcard....too bad someone thought that 1 cent stamp was going to be worth more than the postcard.

Hello- I'm hoping to sell this July 10, 1973 signed letter by Hank Aaron on Braves stationary referencing his pursuit of Babe Ruth's HR record. A similar letter recently sold for $1,200. in the April SCP auction, lot #511. Sorry, I don't know how to link the auction. I'm now asking for $595./OBO. The letter is in excellent condition & the signature is guaranteed to be authentic. If you're interested, please email me at jpcw1999@yahoo.com with any questions or offers. Thanks, Jeremy
