Ok, I purchased this item on the boards here, and to me, this looks like the real deal based on known exemplars I have seen. I have enclosed 2 scans, front and back. It appears to be a government postcard, and all characteristics of Cy Young's signature appear to be there. Having seen the date on the postmark, and the town in which Cy was born in and there is a memorial built there (albeit the memorial was erected a year after he died), makes it appear to be the genuine article.

Thoughts before I send it off for TPG??

Looks pretty good to me, but Cy's signature is a bit tricky. Experts?

It seems to be a very clean signature for 1953, his later signatures would not have such an even flow, the "G" at the end does not look the same as most of his signatures, but it sometimes can be lazy. Then again this was a post card and he may have been able to take his time with the signature. His signature can often look different, so it can be tricky. I think it would still be worthy of a submission, you just never know.
