I am new to this, but have a question.

My sister-in-law has come into possession of a t206 Honus Wagner with a Piedmont 350 back. She contacted a gentleman named Frank Ceresi in Arlington, Virginia who has some background with the t206 cards. He evaluated the card and said he did not think it was an obvious forgery and that the card appeared to be printed on "old paper".

I have read some of Ted Zanidakis' archived threads that indicate this card was never printed with this back. Can you tell me any history on this variation of the card. Is there any possibility it would be worth trying to have this card evaluated, or would it be a waste of money. Thanks.

Hi Fran, the card is a reproduction and has no value

There is no such thing as an authentic T206 Honus Wagner with anything but a 150 series back.

95% will be Sweet Caporal 150, the other 5% are Piedmont 150
The 150 series was from 1909

Sorry it wasnt a "find"
Others may explain it in more detail....

Virtually all known Wagners have Sweet Caporal 150 backs. One or two have Piedmont 150 backs. As Frank said, a Piedmont 350 is impossible.
