Is there a list of "minor stars". The price list has them as more valuable than common players, but how do you find them.

What 'price list' are you using and for what issue? Finding a printed price guide that accurately reflects pre-war card prices is not a trivial task. That may cause more inaccuracy in your pricing then not knowing who the minor stars are.

Using eht Tuff-Stuff price guide:

Example: 1956 Topps

Complete Set (342): 9000.00
Common Player (1-180): 15.00
Minor Stars (1-180): 25.00
Unlisted Stars (1-180): 40.00
Common Player (181-340): 20.00
Minor Stars (181-340): 40.00

Mainly looking for Topps 1952 - 1969

Go get a copy of The Standard Catalog.

It lists all of the cards. There's a premium over the common price for players like Ken Boyer, Dick Groat, Ted Kluszewski, Bill Skowron, Don Zimmer, Jim Gilliam, Johnny Padres, Don Larsen... there are others. These are in the 1956 Topps set, per your example.

Thanks Frank,

It looks like what I need.

Any idea as to when the 2011 catalog would come out.
