Hi,
I've got what I believe is a 1953 Topps Cello Box. I've never seen another one! I'm not sure I want to sell it because it's the first good piece I bought(when I was 17 years old). Depends on what it's worth. My collecting interest has changed. Does anyone have an opinion as to what it may bring??

I used to collect empty wax boxes, but I have never seen anything like that. Based on the players listed on the box, I would agree that it is a '53 Topps cello box. I have no idea what it's worth, but I would be interested in it if you are selling.

It certainly looks a little different than the other 1953 cello box that has been shown once before. A very cool piece, for sure!

Clearly the player selection on the first box shown indicates 1953. But I don't see anything on the second box that specifies a year of issue. Perhpas that second box is from a later year. O know the Topps Guild logo was used on 1957 cellos. Was it used earlier?

Topps was using the Trading Card Guild logo with non-sports as early as 1951 I believe, maybe even 1950. It's how they sold their ten cent packs for some odd reason.

Oh, to pop open a 15 card pack from 1953.

I think I might have a heart attack the second I broke the seal.
