I was just wondering what everyone likes to watch on TV.....you can even toss in your all time favorite movies if you'd like-

For TV shows, I LOVE the "Ancient Aliens" episodes- to me it is fascinating stuff. I also kind of like that show "Gold Rush",,,,"Pawn Stars" is pretty cool,,and "Storage Wars" is fun to watch sometimes. I really like the History channel.

Movies- I watched "The Town" recently and I've got to say, that movie was pretty intense!! I thought it was awesome. I love those kind of movies.

So other than sports, what do you all like to watch?

Sincerely, Clayton

I'm strictly a retro guy -- 90 percent of my TV watching is classic programs on DVD. My faves are: The Prisoner, The Fugitive, Combat!, Have Gun, Will Travel, The Untouchables, and all the classic sic-fi stuff: Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Time Tunnel, Star Trek, etc.

The NCISs, Human target, Pawnstars, Simpsons, Kitchen Nightmares, Eureka, and a few others.

My wife usually won't watch, but I like some of the very lowbrow shows.
Americas Dumbest, the judge shows, operation repo, that sort of stuff.

I really liked a few discovery shows like "living with the kombai" the guys doing that did 3 series and they were all fascinating. A lot of the history channel stuff is good too.

We watched Hancock the other night, and we both liked it a lot. She liked the twist of the other super person, I liked the crazy drunk hancock from the beginning.

Current-Castle, SVU, Burn Notice, Smallville, Supernatural, Walking Dead, and a few others.

Past-Buffy(actually anything from Joss Whedon, especially Firefly), Brisco County Jr., Heroes, Dead Zone, Quantum Leap, any of the Stargate shows, Tru Calling, Twilight Zone, The Shield, Rescue Me, Titus, Black Adder, Tales from the Crypt, and of course a bunch more.

It's pretty obvious that with the exception of a few dramas or comedies, that I tend to lean more towards the Horror/Suspense oriented Sci-Fi type shows.

I'm not much in to tv anymore, though I'm hooked on Burn Notice...if sports aren't on in the house, I end up watching History Channel, A&E or Bravo...good stuff on there...

Thanks for the responses guys........I really thought more people would be into the Ancient Aliens shows (I must be a freak :D)

You guys brought up alot that I forgot.......love Sopranos, King of Queens, Seinfeld, Outer Limits, Twighlight Zone, also like the America's Dumbest :D, and even some of the Judge shows........

And how could I have forgotten Deadliest Catch? Every time I'm at a buffet that has Crab Legs I think of what those guys go through to get those things to our plates.........and makes me thankful my job isn't that bad.

Ice Road Truckers (IRT) sometimes is fun to watch..........another one I will watch (if my wife is at work ) is The First 48.......I can't do the marathons on 'em though.......sort of depressing after a while.

Thanks- Clayton

Episodes <---This show is excellent and proof that Joey was the funniest 'Friend'
Realsports with Bryant Gumball

I'm still watching Californication, but that show I'm afraid has jumped the shark...I'm thinking this has to be the final season.

I can't wait for the new episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm as that is probably my all time favorite television program.

I missed The Pacific when it first ran on HBO so I picked up the DVD set and just finished it...How did that series not win any awards??? That was the most intense WW2 drama I think I've ever seen.. I just put Bob Leckie's book "Helmet For My Pillow" on my local library's waiting list.

Wow--nobody has mentioned maybe the two greatest TV shows of all time anf they are both on now.

1)Boardwalk Empire
2)Mad Men

Both unbelievably great shows.

The only show I actually set aside some free time to watch is Sons of Anarchy. The season finale this year was amazing. Apart from SoA, if the Red Sox or Bruins aren't playing, the MLB Network is almost always on.

A little too hip for the mainstream, but many episodes are on youtube so maybe one day the mainstream will catch up.......nah, who am I kidding.

Oh man- some of those episodes are....uh...disturbing. When I saw the commercial for the one with the guy with all the rats/mice I told myself "no thanks"

Did anyone like the old "Ren & Stimpy" cartoons? :D Very tweaked......

You guys are coming up with some good ones.......Sons of Anarchy- forgot about that one- that's pretty cool. American Pickers,,,I'd actually love to do that for work. Someday they may stumble across a pre-war goldmine :)

"Intervention" is pretty shocking.......it really shows how drugs can destroy your life, ruin relationships, and bring your family to the brink of insanity (pretty depressing, but most of the time in the end the addict ends up getting off the drugs/ happy ending).

I seem to gravitate to the HBO shows. My favorites over the years, most of which are in some form of syndication, are:

The Larry Sanders Show
The Sopranos
Sex and the City (I know it's a chick show but it was actually very well written)
Curb Your Enthusiasm (among my all time favorites)
Bored to Death

But of all the HBO shows, my unqualified favorite: Six Feet Under

And of course I love Seinfeld and The Simpsons

And I watched all of Boardwalk Empire- I thought it was very good but didn't quite qualify as a favorite

I don't watch much current TV. Among my favorite fare (now reduced to warching the boxed set), the Inspector Morse series from the BBC starring John Thaw.

Well I liked Boadwalk Empire, but I don't think it's anywhere near the greatest of all time...but you're right I definitely forgot to add Mad Men which is one of my favorites.

Breaking Bad is another great show that I forgot to mention...I also really like Modern Family, but it's one I came in late on and had to buy the first season on DVD to get up to speed.

I love watching the Mecum car auctions, Hoarders, Pawn Stars.....Deadliest Catch.....Dancing with the Stars (NOT!!), .....most of the reality ones are cool...and if nothing else I find that channel that runs 24 x 7 COPS.......how can you go wrong with seeing idiots get busted?

For fans of The Ricky Gervais Show, check out "An Idiot Abroad" on the Science Channel. Karl Pilkington travels to the 7 Wonders of the World. He is either the dumbest person on the planet, or brilliant. Is only 8 episodes long but just announced a second series.

The only shows I really make a point to watch are House, Family Guy and Friday Night Lights. Since the final episode of FNL was last night that knocks one off the list. I usually manage to keep up on Jersey Shore too for whatever reason. :D

I didn't even know this show existed until your post. Saw it on the guide last night and started recording the episodes.

Pilkington is hilarious. Best part about him, is he has no idea how funny he really is..........on top of the fact he doesn't react at all, negatively OR positively when he's being made fun of.

He may be the best comedy straight man in history. He might also be a touch sociopathic.

I try to make a point of watching CBS Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes, assuming not repeats. Otherwise, just news and sports. My wife, on the other hand....

Back in the early to mid-90's Mystery Science Theater 3000 was my favorite.
