Don't see this version in Mike Egner's "Vintage Pennant Price Guide" and was hoping to find out if this is a 1940's or 1950's piece and possible value pls?

Thanks!

1959 was the year Go Go Sox became the team charge, so your pennant is probably from that year or perhaps within a couple years after. It's a nice looking design and would probably have a retail value to $65-$95. Nice piece and thanks for posting.

Additionally... the sliding player is modeled after Minnie Minoso. There is another (much rarer) variation that says "Go Go Minoso" with the same exact graphics. Yours is still somewhat rare... while not "impossible", it's definitely a nice example.

I have seen yours go a little higher than what Mike stated... it used to sell routinely for $125 - $150. But with the economy lagging and the prevalence of ebay, it is probably worth towards the high-end of the range Mike quoted.

Hope this helps!

Thanks gents!

Great looking pennant but I don't collect the Sox, so I may give this a try on the B/S/T board. Chris

The BST is great because it is completely free. But it seems to reach a somewhat limited number of people... many of whom are only seeking a terrific bargain.

I would not list it for less than $79 on the BST. If it doesn't sell there, you will get that amount (or more) on Ebay. Best of luck!

I completely agree with Perezfan. The black face player pennants ALWAYS have brought a premium. I have sold this pennant many times over $100. People have always liked this style for a fraction of the rare Minoso version.
