Got a kick out of this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1911-T201-MECCA-DOUBLE-FOLDER-TY-COBB-SAM-CRAWFORD-TORN-/370477936602?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item564234afda

I collect lower grade cards, but I think I would reject this one.

That card sold in a local auction a couple of weeks ago - I was stunned anyone bid on it then. I'm more stunned to see it was bought with the intention of flipping it - how much did the guy think he could make off of it???

I agree, I'm a low grade guy myself. Hell, I've been known to buy some ridiculous things, if the price is right. I've got the bottom 1/3rd of a used 1926 Exhibit of Cobb, but including shipping I only paid $1.50. I just figured what the hell, why not!

Anyways, there's not a chance I'd have bought this T201. Well, maybe if it was under $5.

In the local auction it did come with I think 3 other T201s that were complete.

Good point Steve - I just checked my catalog and saw that - I didn't remember that offhand...

Perhaps the winner already has the Cobb/Crawford head half, thus making this (with the aid of a strip of scotch tape) the steal of the century.

THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THE ISSUE IS BRIGHT AND BOLD WITH VIVID PASTEL COLORS. THE BACK PORTION CLEARLY SHOWS THE STATS OF BOTH COBB AND CRAWFORD FROM THE CARD THAT IS THE ABSOLUTE KEY TO THE MECCA DOUBLE FOLDER SET. Thats the part i like......... enough said! ;)

So, if this person that won this T201 completes the set does he have 49.5 cards or does he get credit for the full 50?
