Marty Marion broke into the Bigs in 1940 and has a couple of pre-war Exhibits. Musial made his first appearance a couple of months before Pearl Harbor but has no pre-war cards I am aware of.

Al Brancato is in the 1941 Play Ball set. Also, I believe Virgil Trucks has a 1939-1946 exhibit.

benny mccoy in the 1941 double play set.

Also, I don't think I'd count the exhibits..A handful of guys that broke into the bigs between '40 and '42 may have been printed before the war, but we really have no way of knowing.

I think that this 1947 may be Marion's first "card." And wouldn't this of made a great pre-war Musial?
