No one has mentioned this one yet so I will throw it out there. I am not a big jersey guy and know very little. Just wanted to hear what some seasoned veterans have to say about this one...

Don't have to know anything about jerseys!!!!!!!!!! This guy is a crook!!!!! Stay away....once sold me a bat that was a college bat and purposely covered the Louisville Slugger name on it by laying several bats next to it in a row to cover the college's name...Hey Lin....glad to see you are still trying to get away with things and glad I can still tell people what you do!

Check his feedbacks and every once in awhile he has a negative. He does just enough to stay on Ebay and then tries for a big score. Hope others who are members here and who have been ripped by him will post as well telling their stories. BEWARE!!!!!!!

I'm seeing the ask a question link right at the bottom of the description. But Ebay's been changing the look and arrangement of auctions lately, so it may be diferent for you.

Just asking the following since I haven't followed uniforms for a long time. It's too much for me anyway, but a good chance to learn a bit.

Aside from the sellers history what's wrong about the jersey? I can see it not being Mantles, as the undershirt with the 1st grade writing doesn't convince me at all about the minor league use. Although Minor leage recycling was common right? I just can't see a minor leaguer using an undershirt lettered so poorly and with a number too.

So is it at least a 65 Yankees jersey? And would the price be all that wrong for a 65 yankees jersey?

I have a 1966 Yanks McGregor jersey that was used through 1969 and while not recyled to the minors (it appears) it was passed from Yanks Coach to Yanks Rookie, and subsequently had a number change.

The collar, number swatches don't match up (red vs black and the Ebay jersey looks like it may be a felt swach while mine is cotton).

Thanks for showing me that. The other tags look wrong now too, no washing instructions, and not much sign that they'd ever been there. Not enough wear overall to the tags either.

Good to learn that.

Pretty impressive fake.

I think that the price is prob double what a 1965 common player's jersey might sell for. I wouldn't have thought that myself a year or so ago but when I found the '66 jersey I looked into valuation and found that $500-$800 would be the norm right now.
