Hi Johnny
I was watching that one and it went for about 3x what I thought. Shows how much I know.

When you have at least two people who want something and neither is too concerned about what it "should" go for, anything can happen. Strong price IMO but I am not a Jennings, T206 or back collector.

Mike......that was my estimate... i didn't bid on this tho....
Jeff......true..... i have seen many items go for more than they "should" go for..... i hear ya!!i have been envolved in those scenarios myself:)
just have been seeing these t206 backs appreciate exponentially!!!economy is not affecting them IMO...strong prices in these big auction forums:eek:

I remember in the 1980's, 1990's these did not command a big premium.

you could buy blanks 2 years ago for about 500-including southern leaguers.
Blank backs are as tough as Drum but never brought the money because there was no ad-I guess that had finally changed. I still need one with a HOFer..
