Okay, I just got this glove today...anyone want to venture a guess to the date of manufacture? Also is this a kid's glove? It's small - 8 1/2" from the tip of the middle finger to the bottom. There are no manufacturer marks on it.. Any info appreciated.

Nice Mitt! My guess its circa 1900-1910. 8 1/2 is on the small size, but may not be a kids mitt. Im sure one of the glove guys will jump in.

Thanks Matt. My hand fits into the glove and I know the gloves from that era were smaller, but I've never seen one of this style in hand before today.

What you have is a crescent padded fielders glove. It dates anywhere from late 1890's to around 1910. It is about average size adult glove. Here's a site that shows various examples of that style glove.
