Jennifer and I will be hosting another baseball meeting and BBQ in Vancouver on Saturday, August 21. It's at Nat Bailey Stadium, and starts at 1 pm.
It's a Northwest SABR meeting (www.sabr.org). There's no admission charge and all are welcome to attend.
Former ballplayers attend and talk about their playing days. Last year, Ossie Chavarria (http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/chavaos01.shtml) spoke. After the meeting, Jennifer and I will have a BBQ at our place, and there's a game that night at the stadium, with fireworks after the game.
It's a fun event, and only a short 2 hour 15 minute drive from Seattle, and six hours from Portland.
