Fellow Hobbyists,
It is with great pleasure that we announce the opening of GrandSlamBids.com (http://www.GrandSlamBids.com) full, live, trial period. This trial period will last at least 45 days during which we will be identifying any remaining issues with the software. After that we will close it for a short time to fix any identified issues and then open for good. Please make no mistake that this is a normal precaution and the site is fully functional right this minute.

In conjunction with this launch we are offering a special seller promotion. For any listings that start from now through Sunday (6/13), all insertion fees and most listing upgrades are free (Front page and category featured upgrades excluded. Discounted "end of auction" fees are still in place). See here (http://www.grandslambids.com/site_fees.php) for a full fee schedule.

Some of the differences between Grand Slam Bids, and other self service sites, that make us a better solution are:
1) On line payments are not mandatory but are optional.
2) Both sellers and buyers will be able to leave feedback.
3) All bidders will be seen in each auction after it is over.
4) Far less fraud. Think of our BST, not perfect, but very good.
5) Fakes/reprints and cutouts will not be in the regular card sections.
6) Hobbyists that understand the business will run the site.
7) Much more reasonable fee schedule.
8) Focused on only sports collectibles, cards and other non-sports cards.

Your input during and after our alpha phase was essential to where we are today. We've made significant functional improvements to the site since then, including:
* A robust searching and filtering system so you can find what you want, and only what you want.
* Integration with VintageCardPrices.com so newly listed items and results show in their system.
* A bulk lister so that many listings can be imported from other sources.

Following this Sunday, we will still have reduced fees where it only takes .03 to list, and if there is no sale, then there are no final value fees. With your help, this endeavor will benefit all of us. Please contact us at admin@grandslambids.com and let us know how we can improve or help in any way.

Today is the last day to take advantage of the free insertion fees and highlight/bold upgrades.

Also, there are a number of cards currently up with few or no bids starting at $1, including OJs and tough caramels.
