A member posted this on our forums and wanted to see if anyone can give any info on it. I think it is PCL and know the OJ PCL's go for top dollar.

The PCL did not exist in 1889 (and there are no PCL Old Judge cards). I can't see the names of the players from the scan...can you read them off? It's most likely a California League team.

It is the 1889 Oakland California League team. It is not that expensive an item ($5000-$10,000). It does feature several players included in the Old Judge set. A nicer copy of the cabinet is pictured and described on page 415 of the Old Judge book.

I felt the same way Jeff...since when is $10,000 not expensive?

(I know Jay meant compared to an N172 California League player).

In case anyone cares, Top center is a young George Stallings.

Another good reason to own that book.
