Check out this postcard with a very early football player imaged on a tobacco pack.. Touchdown Smoking Tobacco. Anyone seen one of these packs? If this is posted in the wrong place - please let me know and/or move to the right spot.

I've never seen any packs, nor the postcard - nice piece with a great graphic - wonder if an envelope or correspondence sheet / letterhead
using the same graphic exists - early bills of sale / letterheads often were done with full-color graphics, and make fantastic display pieces.

I haven't seen either before either, but am fairly certain that I have a piece of Sheet music from the 1890s for either University of Maryland or Michigan State (both had the initials MAC at that point) that has the identical football player graphic on it. I'll have to check when I get home if I can track it down. I may be wrong, and it may just have a similar look.

Neat postcard by the way.

That is a great looking and very interesting image. It looks a little familiar but can't say for sure I've seen it before. From the date stamp, at least we know it's from some time in the 1890's. It's very interesting that the font graphics and style of the name is so simiiliar to "Home Run Cigarettes". I would be very interested to know anything more about it. One thing I know...I'd sure like to find a poster for that brand!! Nice score amigo!
