Asking about T206's, T205's and T207's what set seems to have the most? Is there a real premium for Blank backed cards (not skinned)? What should one pay for low grade, trimmed, or Auth examples on average for one of each? Thanks for the help

I have seen blank backed T206-T207's...they are not very common. It seems if it's a hand cut T206 w/blank back...there will be a premium. The blank backed T207's I've seen(I have one) also sell for a bit of a premium. I have never seen a T205 w/blank back.

Blank backed T205s are by far the rarest. I own two blank backed and have only seen a handful in 20 years of t205 collecting and research.

One that obviously circulated, one that probably did not and a defininte piece of printers scrap.

Agreed that T205s are super, super tough. T206s and T207s while not common are certainly out there. By the way almost all real blank backs in each of these issues are trimmed.

I'd toss out my rough estimates on value -- but certainly could be off:
T205 - $1000
T206 - $400
T207 - $200

P.S.
Pup,

Let me know if you're looking for a T207 blank back --- I happen to have an extra dupe.

Regards,
Scott

The image area of the McGraw above is the same size as a T205 (not smaller like the T202 pannels)..... its a T205 without the gold (printers scraps)

Ive had a couple T206's, no T205's, and many T207s, ........I dont have any now, but Ive had about 15 of the T207's in last 5 years (all from eBay) but I think most are from the same original source (printer scraps).

They are handcut.

I had a T205. Sold it on eBay about 2 years ago for about $200 or so... The card was rough, but not a beater. So, I'm not sure if $1k is really the going price...

The T205 McGraw appears to be a genuine printer's scrap; the gold border was never applied to the card.

I've owned one of each blank back and sold them all in '07:

T205--Sold for $800
T206--Sold for $300
T207--Sold for $150

i can only speak for t206. The blank back cards are ALL hand cut as far as i know...i have never seen a factory cut "blank backed" t206 before....these cards were hand cut from printers' sheets, and can really arguably be considered a "printer's scrap". I would be really skeptical if i saw a factory cut t206 being marketed as a "blank back" and would want it sgc graded...it would have to be correct thickness and even edges to within the t206 parameters...

Scott and Jim will agree i'm sure...but someone please post a scan of a t206 "factory cut" blank backed card, if you own one, ide love to see it..
They would be very valuable in my opinion...

The others are on the money....between $300-$400 very accurate,i picked up 3 in the last few months at 300,350 and 400.. depends how beat up they are .....imo, they are undervalued right now...although not "super rare" they are quite tuff!!!

hope this helps...and hello all!!

Johnny

I have had this card for a few years...and it appears factory cut...or maybe very neatly hand cut years ago. I typically only get cards graded for sale...but this one is in my pile to have graded...someday...opinions?

The thickness is the same as any other T206?

Peter,

That card is prob the closest i've ever seen to being factory cut....the top and bottom look good...sides are questionable, but that is the closest i have seen!!
i would love to see it in person...what are the dimensions??

i would definetly send it in to sgc, if it came back with a number i would be surprised, but i have a feeling it's coming back as "A" ....i prefer to collect the scraps, but a factory cut blank back would be sweet!!

either way, it's a nice card definetly and congrats...

there are all kinds of "freaks" in this set, and this could be one...:)

DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE A FACTORY CUT BLANK BACK T206??..preferrably graded??

Jim???(i know yours wouldn't be graded, but any "appear" factory cut??

Peace

Johnny

My Persons is 1 7/16 x a little more than 2 5/8. Has a blank banked t206 ever received a # grade from sgc or psa?
