It is crummy.

But, in general, not having a CoA should not be taken as a "warning sign."

Plenty of good pieces don't have CoA's.

I certainly don't feel any need to send any of my pieces, obtained long ago, to an "authenticator" who knows far less than I do about the type of material I collect.

And if I sell them, they won't have CoAs.

I agree in principle David. If a piece has a good history and such, and is obviously clean, there should be no reason for COA's. I have a multi signed HOF ball, and have no reason to get a COA, even if I sell it. That said, some people are anal about this stuff, especially on the big names.

In the end, its all opinion, yes, but some stuff is so patently bad, its laughable. Plus, in the case of some stuff I saw at Mohegan yesterday, such as the Worst A Rod Ive ever seen, and a very iffy Mathewson amongst the gamut, a COA from a crumb bumb isnt worth anything either.
