Has anyone noticed if this seller lists the same cards twice? I've noticed this a few times, and am wondering if that is a strategy or innocent mistake, or what is going on. Here is an example...

http://cgi.ebay.com/1913-T200-Fatima-Pittsburg-Pirates-Wagner-SGC-20-1-5_W0QQitemZ350323545138QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Baseb all?hash=item5190e91432

Also, what do you think of him as a seller, is he associated with this board, and what is your opinion of the price on this particular card??? Thanks...

Joe is as solid as anyone in this hobby, dealt w/ him numerous times never a problem for buying or selling.

Same dealings as everyone else. Fantastic & flawless transactions. Not sure why the double postings, but one of the best sellers on ebay.

I have bought a couple cards from him too and think his prices are reasonable w/quick ship and good packaging in box.

What do you think of these repetitive listings? I'm pretty sure I've noticed this a few times in his store and am wondering if eBay automatically relists things and he doesn't realize it, or if he pays the extra .35-1.00 (which I have no problem with...) to get more exposure for listings...Thanks, Pat

The double listings are intentional, one in his eBay store at fixed price, the other in auction format w/ Buy It Now.
Some eBayers don't view eBay store items, so he's covered in that situation.

Ok, that makes sense. Is it possible that someone would try to buy both? I mean they are seperate listings? Interesting selling strategy.

BTW--Is this a good price for that card do you think?

Joe is first class, IMO he usually has the best BIN prices compared to everyone else. Also, he always ships out super fast. The one thing I could do without is the stickers affixed to the slabs, but I guess I have Goo Gone for a reason....

I've never dealt with Joe, but his 70,000 positive feedbacks and 100% rating would eliminate any fears I may have about him.

I agree - Joe is a top notch seller. Reasonable BIN prices, fast shipping, and a huge inventory of cards in SGC slabs. I've purchased a bunch of cards from him.

Dave, if you click on all feedback received, he actually has 70,000 positives.
If you click on feedback left for others: 85,000.
Thats a lot of transactions. I think he's okay:)

I too have bought a lot of cards from him.

Only had one problem with a faulty holder. Joe simply had me ship it to SGC,who reholdered it for free and sent me a voucher to cover shipping cost.
no questions asked.

Now Thats customer service.

Nothing but good experiences. If I see a card I want I contact him and I always get $5 off and free shipping. That's $10 right off the top! One thing I never asked about though, has anyone ever noticed that he is based out of southern Illinois but the return address on all the shipments come from Florida with a different name? Doesn't matter, just curious.

One time Joe immediately issued a refund and also let me know when he did get a second copy of the card. Some might be upset by that but it didn't bother me. I have known Joe for at least 15 years and he is as solid as any in the business. Though I can see how this might upset some people, and I would not do the double listing.

I have noticed over the years that Joe has quite a few cards listed on Ebay at seemingly high prices, but yet he also sells 10-20 cards a day at those very same high prices. I guess having a deep inventory and superior customer service is one way to get the high BIN prices that we board members always question.

I picked up a couple of cards from him, prices were a bit over market, but the cards were very nice and transactions were all very smooth.

his web inventory is 99%+ SGC material, but I find that I am able to pick up postwar PSA cards from him on Ebay. Have bought from him on both venues - his website and ebay without any problems...

He and Levi both are at the top of my ratings with respect to consistently good service.

The issue is settled: JOE RULES.

But his T206 inventory has slipped of late...

The great part about Joe, besides excellent customer service, is he prices his cards appropriately. So many sellers want to charge HUGE premiums above the auction going rate. Joe might charge a slight premium, but its very reasonable. Two thumbs up!

What do you think of him as a seller?
I have made several purchases from Joe Y; all were Perfect Ten, Zero BS transactions. It's amazing what a little humanity can accomplish amidst the rabble and crap of the internet. If all the others involved in the commerce of vintage cards were half-as-stand-up as Joe we'd have nothing left to rag about on Net54.

I've had listings doubled before on ebay. Once I was using turbo lister and it froze up as I was trying to list. I checked Ebay and my auctions didn't go through. when I restarted it and relisted my auctions I went to check on them and there were 2 of each item listed.

Most of the dealers with Buy it Nows on ebay just annoy the crap out of me and I don't even look at them.

Joe actually has ok prices that are close to market value.

Thanks Joe for not wasting my time.

Not sure if double listings are a good idea. Obviously if two people buy the same card, one person will lose out. eBay also allows sellers to send 2nd chance offers to multiple bidders. Even if you accept the offer, the seller might have already accepted another offer.

I just saw this thread and had to chime in.

Joe is one of the better friends I have in this hobby, and is one of the classiest, most customer-friendly businessmen selling cards today. There's nobody I respect more.

I've had nothing but good experiences with him. I just buy off his website and have never been disappointed. He recently had a good number of T205 Piedmont factory 42's and always seems to get good new inventory.

i find his prices about 15% above market, maybe due to all of ebay's fees...usually after awhile if the cards go on auction i'd win or underbid at 'my' prices.

imo bagger is the best. he knows the market and is flexible.

I have bought from him a few times, top-shelf all the way. He sent a check refunding a portion of the shipping costs on my latest purchase. When I have an ebay losing streak that lasts too long and need a cardboard fix, I browse his website and pick up a few cards.

With eBay bulk uploading software, I think it's possible to accidentally list all your lots twice. As I recall, this is exactly what happened to me a few years back. Had to go through and end half the listings.

This thread is absolutely silly and I can't believe it's still going strong. Luckily for Joe, he has a well-deserved reputation (or public relations firm). Thus, instead of turning into a lets bash Verkman....err Joe thread. It has turned into a mini 1969 Woodstock Love-Fest. What has happened to this board? Have we gone soft! Right now, we couldn't win a street fight against neither the Jets nor the Sharks! And that is outright embarrassing!

Oh, by the way....You da' man Joe!
