Anyone see Pawn Stars tonight? Paid $3000 for a fake Lou Gehrig signed jersey with AAU and Stat COAs. They bought it because of the solid "paperwork". LOL!

My wife wanted to watch something else. That's too funny.

As soon as I heard him say he was convinced it was authentic based on those certs, I immediately thought about buying everything from Coach's Corner and flying to Vegas to sell them for a tidy profit! :)

Based on the seller's smirk at the end of the segment, I got an indication that he knew he just pulled the wool over their eyes.

"I hate to let it go for $3,000.00 but because of the economy (and the fact that I signed it myself), I need the money".

I watched this slime ball talk...criminal.
Sometimes the kids make mistakes and then the old man gets pissed...I was waiting. Cannot believe they ran that story without better research..CRAZY

As was said in another thread, if you had a genuine Lou Gehrig autographed jersey why would you take it to a pawn shop?

I could not believe what I was watching. I think they feel the COAs are important for them to resell, not for its authenticity. If they feel they can resell it for 5,000 by having these COAs, then they would make the buy even if the COAs aren't ideal. Someone will come in there and buy it because it has those COAs.

I just checked Morales' website - he lives not more than 20 minutes from me in Falls Church, VA.

I was looking at the Xtremecollectibles web site with the owners note

"Tonight I will be on Pawn Stars at 7:30pm Selling my Lou Gehrig Jersey"

This is a pic of the uniform Originally asking $7,999

Looking at other items for sale on his web site and seeing the links to his favored authenticators, I would think a certain Pennsylvania auction house was opening a Las Vegas chapter.
