I was wondering what your thoughts are on this. I have come across many graded cards in which the card has shifted in the slab. Especially cards that are much smaller than the standard size. Seems like the slabs are made for regular size cards only. If a card is displaying diagonally or is shifted to one side of the slab, does this bring down the value of the card?

i'm no expert, but i wouldn't think so. why should it? there may be a flaw in the slab and not the card. i have a few cards like that. again, not an expert just my thoughts.

I would think that if the card is loose in the holder to the point that the card is now displayed diagonally, that the card may in fact have sustained damage in the shifting, as in corners affected by the diagonal contact, in which case the grade may no longer be the same.

IF that is the case than sure the card wold be worth less.

If it has not sustained damage, then I don't see why it would be worth less.
