I never heard of him and came across this piece and bought it.

Anyone have any info on him. I am wondering if he sculptured in the late 50's? This looks like a "Chinese Bandit" tiger, which would date it 1958/59. I know he sculpted in the early 50's.

Check out Inside the Park Collectibles' website. Especially read his blog - he has a big writeup on Carter Hoffmans. I have picked up a few of these over the years. Really well crafted little figurines. Wish they made them for pro teams too.

I posted this figure on my LSU collector site and one of my other members has a piece she stole for $10, and the eyes are not slanted like mine. So I am thinking mine might be a "Chinese Bandit" tiger.

Here is hers:

and mine again:

Here is a 1954 Harvard football program with the entire Ivy League line on the cover and were for sale on the inside:

I think yours is probably a Carter Hoffman, and hers is probably what they call an Anri. Carter Hoffman statues always have Carter Hoffman original stamped on the bottom, while Anri's either have no stamping, or have a stamp that reads made in Italy. Carter Hoffmans are usually a little more ornately designed, better quality, and I think a little bigger

They both are marked Hoffman.

I realized what I thought was the eye is not the eye. I thought the part above the white (yellow) spot was the eye I think the eye is the triangle below it.

Does anyone on here collect the Carter Hoffman figures? I started to collect these some months back but have had a terrible time finding them.
