There's a T206 Jennings this evening on ebay that has a strange pattern on the uniform (like a windowpane effect). It's really noticeable in the blow up. It seems to carry over a bit to his face as well. What would explain this? The registration seems to be fairly good. The pattern doesn't really carry over in areas other than the uniform (and face) so it's not likely caused by the card having been placed in an album at one time. I would imagine it has something to do with the printing process, but if that were the case, why does it seem to be on his face as well. Just curious.

...it's the scanner. Some scanners turn old newspaper dot matrices into those kinds of diagonal patterns. That is what it happening to Ee-Yah's uniform....

I've seen this happen when a scanner scans at a very high resolution and then saves as a jpg.
