Greetings everyone. I thought it would be interesting to conduct a poll on the Top 10 scarcest E107 cards. Since this is a very popular and scarce set I thought this would be the ideal set. My vote goes to Willie Sudhoff. This is based on collector experience. Look forward to some more input here.
Thank You

Here is a link to a great E107 site....I would say the Tenney is pretty tough, that being said, all are tough.

I have been looking for a Gene DeMontreville and a Candy LaChance for years and never seen one.

Not even when Jonathan sold all those E107 last year?

I hear ya. I have been looking for the LaChance for a decade and he was not in the sale of these last year. My goal is to find one before I retire :)

I hear Joe Kelley is very, very tough. Probably the toughest HOFer.

I would say Frank Chance and Bobby Wallace are right up there with Kelley aren't they?

Great thread! I would say Chance in type 1 set. One that I am proud of and is
very tough is the type 2 Tommy Leach.

I agree with Bicem in that the Kelley is the toughest HOFer.

Here is a website with photos of every card listed in this thread:

Greetings again everyone. I think it would be interesting to post if you have ungraded E107's in your collection. This would give a more accurate pop report combined with all graded E107's. This set really fascinates me. I will start off with 6 ungraded E107's. Look forward to more posts.

I guess you got tired of that Elberfeld. :)

On that note, the other Elberfeld variation (Athletics) is one of the toughest in the set. A few of the cards have two variations. Dahlen (previously mentioned) and Elberfeld are two of them. The others are listed on the site that Wesley referenced. Generally, those variations are among the toughest in the set - HOFers or not.

To answer your other question... I don't have any raw E107s in my collection.

Being relatively new to this era of cards, I have a question. What would a decent example of a common card from this series run? Like a PSA 3-4 or SGC 30-50. Hope this isn't an inappropriate posting to this thread (I'm new to the workings of this site too!)
Thanks,
Tony

This last year you could have picked up a beater example for about $300-$400...a vg-ex type would most likely set you back 1K...or more.

Like a PSA 3-4 or SGC 30-50.

That's high grade for this set.
