In the days when this was made up, it was a labor of love. Personally, I think thats an awesome piece, and if I had the funds, Id love to frame that. Its pricey, and some of the cards are rough, but just as is, its cool IMO.

I don't know for those of you who did the card soaking (I wonder how that came out i a recent thread) if it would be worth it in this case?

I was looking at those what a nice album that was. My question would be is the writing in marker, and if so does that mean that glue was used as opposed to the old paste that just comes off with water. The pink used on all the pages looks like a marker, as does the black writing, which could indicate this was done much later, maybe the 50's or even 60's by someone who got them at a garage sale or grandparent. Very nice display pieces for sure.

Well - we can at least narrow it down to post 1912 for creation... the NY Americans are identified as the Yankees, not the Highlanders...

I figured if they were soakable the seller would have done it.

I second that. If I owned these, I would leave them alone. This is a labor of love from a long ago fan. Priceless IMO.

I saw those cards when he was selling them all together and it would be cool to have them all. Framing and Hanging those would look awesome if you had a nice game room or office.

Not necessarily the case, since on the T-205's they are identified as Yankees.

How about buying some beaters and making one yourself? Get library paste on eBay and find somebody who knows calligraphy.

As a "soaker" I've been watching these for weeks now.
They are cool, and would be neat to own and frame, as is. Unforunately, in my opinion, quite over priced.
Also, probably not worth soaking off, mainly beacause (once again, my opinion) the grand majority of the cards look "old time" trimmed.
