OK, so I have one of those 1927 Baseball Magazine Player Poster (Carmine Hill) that is 9.5"x 12.5", too big to fit in an one pocket top loader and the binders used to store all other ephemera. So the question is... cut, fold or leave alone. Was wondering what the experts take on this is.

Frame it. Or just store attached to a matte. The plastic sleeve the mattes come in are decent enough sleeves. trimming would be the last resort.

Drop the scissors! 100% leave it alone.

Buy an appropriately sized Rigid Card Holder and it will be protected, it should only cost $1.50-2.00 or so for the holder.

Leave it the way it is, is my vote. You can easily find a plastic holder to house it....

I did manage to find a big enough top loader, and although can't zip up the binder all the way it only sticks out about 1/2" so it will work. I would still venture to guess that originally these were put in frames of the owners choosing..... but we must save what we can eh?

1- Do not cut it.

2- I'd store it flat in a plastic bag. As you get more M114s you can stack them in there.

3- I've seen a big collection in those giant top loaders as shown. Storing that way takes a lot of space.

4- I'm not a fan of the framing suggestion, it isn't that valuable... unles it is to you becuase he's a great uncle or something.

In the past Ive framed large pieces by buying 2 pieces of plexy glass, drilling holes along the edges through both, and then used the same type of 2 piece screws used in some of the older screw downs. I even polished the edges to make them smooth. It comes out very nice and you can view the item front and back.

I store mine in large photo albums.

Jim,

If you really think trimming an M114 is a good idea, so you can frame it, then we need to discuss you buying a Babe Ruth M114 I have that was trimmed down to fit inside a frame.

I agree with the last 2 posts about that large photo album. That looks good. I'll keep mine in a stack, inside a plastic bag for now, that takes up less space.
