I almost bid on it but worried about the scan. Something just didn't make me comfortable. Any comments?

Hi David

I was watching it as well but decided to bid on some other stuff.

I looks authentic to me and thought it presented nicely for the final price. Probably a 20 or 30 because of the paperloss on the back.

What was it that made you uncomfortable?

Best,

Scott

card seems to be weirdly superimposed or photoshopped to the background...other than that looks good.

I have never seen a scan like that. It almost looks to be in 3D or something. Feels like its an image of a card placed over a background. To me it didn't look like a genuine scan of a live card. I dunno.

I see what you guys are saying. A crystal clear card picture but a fuzzy background is strange. Not sure what would cause that.

The tape measure/ruler was being held off the scanner for some reason -- probably because it was longer than the scanner bed. So the scanner focused on the card but left the ruler blurry.

I agree. If the top of my scanner is left slightly open it will give this same effect. I think the tapemeasure looks blurry because it's not flat on the surface.

Looks fine to me. The "3D affect" is simply due to the Yellow background being slightly out of register.

Consider this, would you go to the trouble of faking this card with a flawed Piedmont back ?

No, you would select a clean back.

Incidently, I don't think these images are from a scanner. The clear image of the card with the fuzzy
ruler is indicative of a photo image that was inputted from a CD.

It looks like a photo where the card is not laying directly on the background.

Thank God he provided us with the side of the ruler that's metric.
